Responsible in advocating, monitoring and evaluating SWD policies and plans of the Field Office and in coordinating the promotion of the Department’s policy reform and legislative agenda as well as in conducting basic and policy researches. It shall also provide leadership role in social protection and social welfare and development through the development, enhancement and maintenance of information and communication technology.
The Division Chief for Policy and Plans shall be the Legislative Liaison Officer of the Field Office. He/she shall act as the Focal Person in the promotion of the priority Legislative Agenda of the Department and other proposed Legislative Measures identified as urgent by the Executive Department of the Government.
The Policy and Plans Division is composed of:

- Regional Information and Communications Technology Management Unit
- National Household Targeting Unit
