The Pantawid Pamilya of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), in coordination with its partner agency- Landbank of the Philippines (LBP), launched an offsite release of cash grants to beneficiaries of 29 barangays of Ormoc City, at the Cogon Gymnasium in Barangay Cogon.

The said recipients belong to Set 4 of the Pantawid Pamilya Program, while the first batch of beneficiaries from the city belongs to Set 3. The latter have received their cash cards only last month.

Headed by the Deputy Program Manager, Virginia Idano and supported by the Local Government Unit thru the City Social Welfare Development Office, Barangay Local Government Unit and Philippine National Police, the said event was successfully controlled despite the huge crowd that filled the venue.

The LBP has come up with a strategy by posting more tellers for convenience and fast service.
