OIC Regional Director Restituto B. Macuto challenged everyone to continue working together towards development and positive change as he quoted DSWD Secretary Corazon “Dinky” Juliano-Soliman in his message during the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program Implementation Review last February 10-12, 2016, in Ormoc City.

Pantawid Pamilya in its 6th year of implementation has served 285,807 household beneficiaries from 4,355 barangays in all 7 cities and 136 municipalities in the 6 provinces of Region VIII. This is 102% of the 280,209 total target for year 2015.

For Period 4 of 2015, the region recorded 95.30% compliance rate to educational conditionalities, 96,33% to health conditions, and 95.22% attendance to Family Development Sessions.

Meanwhile, a total of 5,378 grievances were recorded last year. 4,185 of which were already resolved, while 1,193 are still being processed for final resolution.

In year 2015 also, Pantawid Pamilya produced the 1st batch of children beneficiaries who graduated in high school. 11,425 came from Eastern Visayas, of whom 2,394 are achievers with inspiring stories to tell.

More importantly, DSWD Field Office VIII produced the 2015 National Exemplary Pantawid Pamilya Child Jake Lere Boyles who stood as one of Pantawid Pamilya’s champion program advocates.###
