The National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) or Listahanan has an ongoing On-Demand Application (ODA) Assessment in selected municipalities and cities regionwide.

The On Demand Application is an assessment phase to continue the gathering of data of a household using the  Family Assessment Form (FAF), particularly those families who were not included during the 2nd round household assessment in 2015 and 2016. In order to identify the socio- economic status of a certain household, Listahanan use a proxy means test as its scientific method.  After data gathering, FAFs will be encoded in the Family Assessment Form Data Entry Application by the encoders and proceed to the verification phase.

As of August 7 – 31, 2017, 3,760 households or 5.9% of 64,064 target households for ODA assessment were already assessed.

Presently, areas that have already been assessed are Albuera, Tabango, Villaba, Merida for Leyte Province; Borongan City for Eastern Samar Province; San Jose de Buan, Villareal, Paranas, Pagsanghan for Samar Province; and Catarman for Northern Samar.

Meanwhile, other municipalities and Southern Leyte Province has an ongoing ODA assessment as of this time. The target date of completion of the ODA assessment of field workers is end of September 2017.

Likewise, the National Household Targeting Unit is now ready to start its Encoding and Verification Phase at the DSWD FO VIII Extension Office on September 11, 2017.

Listahanan household assessment is done every 4 years in order to update the database of households and their economic status. As of February 29, 2016 Listahanan identified 330, 945 poor households among the 718,492 assessed in Region VIII.
