After the onslaught of typhoon Ursula, Biliran was declared under the state of calamity. Based on reports recieved, the typhoon caused P794,641,828 in damages.

Following a meeting by DSWD Assistant Regional Director for Operations Marcela Lim with Governor Rogelio Espina of Biliran, DSWD will be sending 1,964 family food packs to the province.

These will be stored in Naval, Biliran, so that nearby municipalities can withdraw the needed relief items.

Families with totally damaged houses will be prioritized in this DSWD aid.

These relief items are an augmentation to the relief efforts being conducted by the first responders, the LGUs.
