The Department of Social Welfare and Development convened the Disaster Response Cluster for a Rapid Disaster Needs Assessment meeting at the Office of Civil Defense to plan the response for typhoon Ursula. The meeting was headed by Disaster Response Management Division Chief Pauline Nadera who presided the meeting yesterday in behalf of RD Marie Angela S. Gopalan.

As of yesterday, based on the initial reports received, 12,978, families (57,272 individuals) were affected from 17 municipalities across Region VIII. There are 41 totally damaged houses and 1,476 partially damaged houses. These are still under verification.

As first responders to the disasters, the LGUs have already provided aid worth P2,094,940.96. DSWD has provided augmentation worth P188,695.60. DSWD will only provide relief items when it receives requests for augmentation from the LGUs.
