Visiting Assistant Secretary Rodolfo Santos of the General Administrative and Support Services Group (GASSG) of the DSWD Central Office in Quezon City recently oriented senior officials and middle managers of the DSWD Field Office VIII on the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), saying that the agency “needs to be recognized as one of the pillars of good governance.”

He appealed to them to join hands in the attainment of an ISO Certification by delivering quality service that would meet the highest standards of excellence set by the international body, the ISO. The official told employees to do away with the “business as usual” culture and level up, establishing a well-placed management system in the agency.

“People we serve deserve the best,” he emphasized to employees attending the First Regional Management Development Conference held this year, at Sophia’s Way at the Leyte Park Resort Hotel in Tacloban.

He also mentioned adhering to the Ease of Doing Business And Government Service Delivery Act of 2018, adding that we cannot afford our clients to wait and make them feel the inefficiencies of bureaucracy. The official said, “we must aim for total client satisfaction!”
