Led by DSWD FO8 Regional Director Grace Subong, DSWD, together with the Department of Economy, Planning and Development (DEPDev), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), signed a Supplemental Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This MOU signifies these agencies’ dedication to achieving the program’s ultimate goal of reducing hunger and poverty.

According to Director Subong, ” this marks a significant milestone. Your cooperation is a testament that indeed, we are all one in ensuring that we will be able to achieve our goals. This aligns with our commitment in achieving our Sustainable Development Goals – No Poverty, Zero Hunger, and Partnership.”

As a banner program of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Zero Hunger, (EPAHP) program supports the government’s efforts to reduce hunger and poverty through a whole-of-nation approach. This initiative fosters collaboration among various national government agencies (NGAs), local government units (LGUs), and community-based organizations (CBOs). EPAHP aims to create a more effective and sustainable response to hunger and poverty by providing markets to agri-fishery livelihood organizations and the provision of technical assistance, training, credit assistance, and community development programs to CBOs by the support agencies of the EPAHP Regional Covergence Team.
