The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VIII marked a significant milestone with the Inauguration and Blessing Ceremony of its new Satellite Warehouse in Allen, Northern Samar. The event held on August 6, 2025, signifies a vital step towards strengthening the department’s disaster response operations in the region.
The Satellite Warehouse aims to enhance the agency’s capacity to store and distribute relief goods and essential supplies more efficiently, particularly during emergencies.
Present during the inauguration was the Chief Administrative Officer of the Visayas Disaster Response Cluster, Atty. Jun Eso, Provincial Vice-Governor of Northern Samar, Atty. Clarence Dato, Assistant Regional Director for Administration; Director Clarito T. Logronio, Chief of the Disaster Risk Reduction Management of the Office of Civil Defense; Sher Rysiah Saises; and other key officials and humanitarian partners whose unwavering support and commitment to excellence have made this project a success.
During the ceremony, the keynote speaker, Atty. Jun Eso emphasized the importance of the facility in improving the department’s preparedness and response.
With the new warehouse now operational, DSWD Field Office VIII is better equipped to respond swiftly to the needs of Northern Samar and surrounding areas, ensuring that assistance reaches them promptly and efficiently.
