The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VIII, in partnership with the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC), Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT Regional Office 8) and the Provincial Government of Samar, is conducting a four-day training for 26 local government units (LGUs) on the Harmonized Disaster Response Reporting Template (HDRRT) to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of disaster reporting across the province.
The activity is being held from November 18–21, 2025, in Calbayog City.
The first batch, composed of 14 LGUs, began its sessions yesterday and continues today. The second batch, consisting of 12 LGUs along with the Provincial Government of Samar, is scheduled for training on November 20–21.
Endorsed in 2023 through RDRRMC Resolution No. 12-006, the HDRRT standardizes disaster reporting to support faster response, informed decision-making, and stronger coordination among government agencies.
