Job Summary:

 Under general supervision of the Social Welfare III, the Manpower Development Officer I will prepare projects & reports, coordinate with the center’s personnel & other partner agencies, and organize training. He/she will also perform other technical functions as may be designated by the immediate supervisor.

Primary Tasks / Terms of Reference:

  1. Assess training needs as well as productivity projects of the residents;
  2. Prepare Project Proposals for skill training and livelihood and other income generating projects of the residents;
  3. Coordinate with supervisor and other center’s staff regarding training needs of the residents;
  4. Conduct trainings on Vocational and Productivity Skills;
  5. Engage residents to practical skill training, productivity, and livelihood activities;
  6. Conduct inventory and safekeeping of training tool & equipment, inspection of small repairs, and reporting therein;
  7. Conducts lecture on costing basic bookkeeping and basic business management and other information relevant to the program;
  8. Supervises / monitors conduct of practical skills to residents;
  9. Coordinate with TESDA, DTI, and other Vocational Technical Schools and other partners that can provide additional skills and possible employment opportunities to the residents;
  10. Provide assistance in the preparation during programs and activities of the center such as stage decoration;
  11. Accept order on project output of the residents;
  12. Submit reports and other documents required by the office;
  13. Performs other related task assigned by supervisor.
