The EASTERN VISAYAS STATE UNIVERSITY  is a public academic institution, with a principal office at Salazar St., Tacloban City duly represented by its PRESIDENT, DR. DENNIS C. DE PAZ.

The EVSU is mandated under R.A 9311 to primarily provide advanced education, higher technological, professional instruction and training in trade, fishery, agriculture, forestry, science, education, commerce, architecture, engineering and related courses.
