Tacloban City, July 17- A mission to conduct review on loan disbursement of the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) program is being conducted today by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) at the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VIII in Tacloban City
The purpose of the said mission is for the group to understand the procedures and find out disbursement issues for the PantawidPamilyang Pilipino Program, Philippine version of the CCT- to the eligible and compliant beneficiaries via over the counter payments through the land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) as well as the recently approved payment modality through Globe GCASH.
The Field Office VIII then prepared a short program to welcome the ADB Mission Team which comprises YasumitsuHirao, Mission Leader/ Financial Control Specialist; Ma. Rosalie Magno, Associate Financial Control Officer, and NidaCalma, Senior Project Officer for Human and Social Development Division. The team is being accompanied bytwo Financial Analysts from the DSWD Central office namely: Mary Antoinette Duero and TasneemTabao.
The short program held this morning at the Ritz Tower, Tacloban City Virginia Idano, Head of the Social Protective Services Unit welcomed the guests to the region. She informed the guests that the visit is just in time because it is the 2nd day workshop for the liquidation of documents of theMunicipal Roving Bookkeepers of the PantawidPamilya Program
The said workshop is conductedat the same venue which is being facilitated by the Financial Analysts of the region. It will then be easier for both parties to review data pertaining to the disbursement process, since the documents are already available at the venue said Idano.
Globe GCash and LBP representatives were also present to respond to queries of the mission team on presentations made by the Financial Analysts, from the process flow, reporting, and liquidation procedures.
The team also witnessed actual over the counter pay-out at the LBP Real Branch, Tacloban City where the Branch Manager accommodated all their questions pertaining to disbursements.
The ADB funded 25% of the Set 2 and Set 3 areas of the PantawidPamilya in the region.
