WHO MAY JOIN?
1. The Competition is open to all songwriters (amateur or professional) who are of Filipino citizenship or of Filipino descent and who are residing in Eastern Visayas. Minors may join provided that they submit a written consent from a parent or guardian.
2. All employees of DSWD Field Office VIII from all units and programs are not qualified to join the Competition.

SONG ENTRY RULES
1. Number of Entries
a. An individual composer or lyricist and/or a collaboration of two or more writer-composers may submit a maximum of three (3) song entries.
2. Song Requirement
a. Each entry must be an original composition of the contestant and all rights of copyright to the entry must be owned exclusively by the contestant.
b. Compositions which have been previously published, recorded or released in shall not be accepted as eligible entry.
3. Lyrics
a. The lyrics of the song must be in Filipino, Waray, Bisaya or a combination of these languages.
4. Form and Length of Song Entries
a. The song composition must be in accordance with the over-all theme which is Peace and Community Driven-Development
b. Song entries could be based on any music genre or style (Pop, Rock, Ballad, R&B etc)
c. The song must have duration of at least 3 minutes but not more than 4 minutes inclusive of intro and extro.
d. A musical composition is final once submitted. And may not be altered or modified prior to the selection of Top 8 Finalists.
