The Regional Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking, Child Pornography and Violence Against Women and Children (RIACAT/CP-VAWC) recently marched round the streets of Tacloban as a WALK FOR FREEDOM to END HUMAN TRAFFICKING.

The DSWD is chair of this multi-sectoral organization that collaborately prevents and responds to concerns on human trafficking, child pornography, and violence against women and children, and other forms of gender-based violence.

Some DSWD staff and employees of the Tacloban City Social Welfare and Development Office parade group together in the parade.

As of the first semester of this year, the DSWD Field Office VIII attended a total of a total of 21 female and one male victims of trafficking. The agency extended direct service to these victims by way of temporary shelter, medical, educational, transportation, as well as as livelihood. #DSWDMayMalasakit
