The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VIII through the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) supports around 550, 455 children beneficiaries in Eastern Visayas Region.
4Ps is a human development program of the national government that provides conditional cash grants to the poorest of the poor, to improve the health, nutrition, and the education of children aged 0-18.
Several of these children grantees recently graduated with various honors and recognition.
DSWD staff headed by Assistant Regional Director for Administration Marlene Kahano graced the Recognition Day of around 78 4Ps honor students from Cirilo Roy Montejo National High School, Tacloban City.
While 4Ps Financial Analyst III Mark Lorben Vicuña inspired the recent graduates and honor students of San Vicente Elementary School, Alangalang, Leyte, to persevere and achieve their goals, as government programs and services continue to bridge them towards obtaining improved and dignified lives.
