Tacloban City – Nine municipalities represented by their local chief executives, confirmed their commitments to do their part to support the Makamasang Tugon modality of the KALAHI-CIDSS during the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement held July 22, 2011, this city.

These municipalities are Bato, Javier, Kananga, Leyte, and Tabango of Leyte Province; Paranas and Tarangnan, Samar Province; Sulat, Eastern Samar and Cabucgayan, Biliran.

A total of 106, 209 children in day care centers managed by 133 local government units (LGUs) of the region are part of the Department of Social Welfare and Welfare and Development (DSWD) Supplemental Feeding Program that is good for a period of 120 days.

Tacloban City – To position the KALAHI-CIDSS Project in their municipalities, the beneficiary municipalities of Samar Province are set to hold their respective Municipal Launch and Project Orientation this month.
