DSWD Explains Issue on Inclusion and Exclusion of Social Pension Beneficiaries

Social Pension staff personally handing out the stipend to the sickly social pensioner.There are 60% qualified senior pension beneficiaries from the list of the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) as these people needs to be screened to ensure that they qualify to be a social pensioner.

NHTS-PR conducts Consultation dialogues to Avoid Lapses in the 2013 enumeration

In preparation for 2013, the DSWD has recently been conducting consultation dialogues regionwide for the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction.

10,172 PERSONS AFFECTED BY TYPHOON OFEL IN REGION EIGHT; SOGOD EXTENDED AUGMENTATION ASSISTANCE

A total of 10,172 persons of 2,192 families in Region eight were reported affected by tropical storm Ofel last Ocotber 24, 2012. DSWD Regional Director Leticia Diokno said the field office was on red alert, awaiting for any local government unit that could not cope up with the effects of the disaster; hence, needs augmentation support.
