DSWD director Ramos seeks support from LGUs to hasten social pension distribution

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Eight, thru Regional Director Nestor Ramos, announced today that all efforts are being done by the agency that the quarterly release of social pension for indigent senior citizens be done on time.

Core shelter houses set for LGUs Hilongos, Inopacan and Hindang

Hilongos, Leyte — July 20, 2015. Seven hundred fifty (750) DSWD shelter units are to be built by beneficiaries for the municipalities of Hilongos, Inopacan and Hindang. These three municipalities have been identified by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the beneficiaries’ housing units will be funded by the ADB.

Second batch of Pantawid Pamilya Beneficiaries to receive their ESA

Tacloban City,  July 21 – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VIII started today the  pay-out of Emergency Shelter Assistance (ESA) to the second batch of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (Pantawid Pamilya) beneficiaries of Tacloban who were affected by super typhoon Yolanda.   The pay – out is being conducted  at the Pantawid Pamilya Leyte Provincial Operations Office at Fatima Village,  this city.
