Incest ranks high among cases of child abuse among residents of the DSWD’s Home for Girls at Pawing, Palo, Leyte.

DSWD soon to form TWG for after-care, etc. for recovering drug dependents

As part of the national government’s convergent efforts to combat illegal drugs, the Department of Social Welfare and Development will take the lead in the after-care, re-integration and transformation support for recovering drug dependents. It will, then, create a Regional Technical Working Group to synchronize efforts of the Department and member – agencies come December of this year.
