This New Year, DSWD Field Office 8 staff and residents from the Centers and Residential Care Facilities (CRCFs) spent the day together to welcome 2025.
During the celebration, both staff and residents had fun as they played games, displayed various talents through intermission numbers, laughed, sang and danced with mascots, wondered at magic tricks, and shared meals together as a family.

Bahagi ito ng pagresponde ng DSWD sa mga Local Government Units na nag-request ng augmentation matapos maapektuhan ng pagbaha na dulot ng shearline.
Samantala, patuloy pa rin ang pakikipag-ugnayan ang DSWD sa mga lokal na pamahalaan upang makasigurado na mabilis at maagap itong makakaresponde sa mga request para sa augmentation.

As of the last quarter of 2024, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 8 has successfully disbursed a total of 𝐏𝟏,𝟔𝟔𝟖,𝟎𝟖𝟐,𝟎𝟎𝟎 (𝟗𝟓.𝟑𝟖%) for the 1st semester, 𝐏𝟖𝟏𝟑,𝟑𝟔𝟔,𝟎𝟎𝟎 (𝟗𝟑.𝟎𝟏%) for the 3rd quarter, and 𝐏𝟔𝟕𝟑,𝟓𝟗𝟑,𝟎𝟎𝟎 (𝟕𝟕.𝟎𝟐%) for the 4th quarter of the social pension funds across all Local Government Units (LGUs) under the Transfer of Funds (ToF) Modality in Eastern Visayas.

This holiday season, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 8 – Eastern Visayas conducted an Information and Advocacy Caravan to the remote barangay of Langit in Alangalang, Leyte.
