DSWD FO 8 conducts CCCM and IDP Protection Training in Lawaan, Eastern Samar

DSWD Field Office 8 successfully conducted a Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) and Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Protection Training at KANO’s Place, Brgy. 9, Lawaan, Eastern Samar.

A total of 55 participants took part in the three-day capacity-building activity. The attendees included Day Care Workers, Barangay Health Workers, Barangay Officials, MDRRMC Members, MSWDO Staff, and MDRRMO Personnel from the Municipality of Lawaan.

Around 120 school heads, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) coordinators, and representatives from the Department of Education (DepEd) Leyte participated in a two-day Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) Training held on November 19–20, 2025 in Tacloban City.

The activity aimed to enhance the capacities of school-based personnel in managing evacuation centers, ensuring that DepEd-operated facilities can provide organized, safe, and dignified spaces for displaced families during disasters.
