Ito ay base sa datos kahapon, April 5, 2024. Ang payout na ito ay alinsunod sa Cash Assistance and Rice Distribution (CARD) Program kung saan layunin nito na matugunan ang patuloy na paglaki ng presyo ng bigas at mga pangunahing pangangailangan para sa bulnerable na sektor ng ating komunidad. 100 Pantawid Households from Tanauan Leyte Undergo Pugay-Tagumpay
100 Pantawid households from Tanauan Leyte Underwent Pugay-Tagumpay; Received various aftercare programs and services from partner stakeholders After attaining a Self-Sufficiency Level of Well-being, the 100 Pantawid households from Tanauan Leyte underwent Pugay-Tagumpay, a Ceremonial Graduation wherein the graduates are officially turned over to the local government units for aftercare programs and services. The remarkable activity was conducted on Tuesday, April 2 at the Civic Center, Tanauan Leyte. The Pugay-Tagumpay was graced by DSWD Undersecretary for NHTS and 4Ps Vilma Cabrera; 4Ps National Program Manager Gemma Gabuya; Municipal Mayor Ma.Gina Merilo; DSWD Regional Director Grace Subong; and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer (PSWDO) of Leyte Vivian Claros. It was also attended by Sangguniang Bayan (SB) members; Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) members; and key officials and representatives of the different partner national government units, civil society organizations and academe. The 100 graduates received aftercare programs and services from the partner stakeholders such as the following: 100 kits of oral health family package from the Department of Health (DOH); provision of seedlings and other agricultural training from the Department of Agriculture (DA); Entrepreneurial Training and Livelihood for additional capital for existing Sari Sari stores from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI); Employable skills training, scholarship program, entrepreneurial program and free assessment for employed beneficiaries from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA); and continuous support to the program implementation from the Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Department of Science and Technology (DOST). The graduates also received employment opportunities from Mardel International Management & Services, Inc, LGH International Services, Inc, Metro Retail Store Group, Inc, PH Global Jet Express Inc. (J&T Express), L and G Security & Investigation Agency, Tanauan Leyte- Hardware & Construction Supply and Haiyan Hotel & Resort; food assistance from the Play Alegre Resort and Restaurant; insurance and employment opportunities from Cebuana Lhuillier Insurance Brokers, Inc ; gift certificates from NSE life home Variety Store and Mercury Drug Corporation-Tanauan Branch; financial literacy orientation from the CARD Bank, Inc.-Tanauan Branch; Skills, Livelihood, and Literacy training Integration to the Community for Economic Empowerment and Development (SLICED) program from the Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) Tanauan Campus; and grocery items from the Local Government Unit of Tanauan. These aftercare programs and services are necessary for the graduate households not to slide back into poverty. Further, the Ceremonial Awarding of P2-M of livelihood grants from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to 200 graduates in 2021 and the awarding of P300-TH livelihood assistance from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) to 200 graduates in 2023 were also conducted. The 100 graduated households are part of the town’s 404 households belonging to non-poor and attained the Self-Sufficiency Level of Well-being target to graduate this first semester of 2024. Mass Turn-over ng DSWD KALAHI-CIDSS Sub-Projects sa Palompon
Nagkaroon ng Mass Turn-over Ceremony para sa 45 na mga Sub-Projects ng KALAHI-CIDSS sa iba’t ibang barangay sa Palompon, Leyte noong ika-25 ng Marso. Ilan sa mga ito ay ang Concreting of Footpaths o Access Roads, Improvement of Drainage Canals, Concreting of Barangay Roads, at iba sa ilaim ng KALAHI-CIDSS Additional Financing. Ito ay dinaluhan ng mga punong barangay, Barangay Developmet Council-Technical Working Group Chairpersons, at Maintenance Group Representatives ng tatlumpung-tatlong mga barangay ng nasabing munisipyo. Ibinahagi rin ng mga community-volunteers ang kanilang mga testimonya ukol sa implementasyon ng programa bilang mga pangunahing tagapagpatupad ng kani-kanilang mga proyekto gamit ang mga prinsipyo ng Participation, Transparency, at Accountability ng programa. Patuloy rin ang implementasyon ng Philippine Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Project o PMNP sa Palompon, Leyte.
DSWD FO8 holds RRP-CCAM Consultation Meeting
In preparation for this year’s implementation of the Risk Resiliency Program – Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (RRP-CCAM), the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VIII, headed by the Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD), held a Consultation Meeting with the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Program and the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP). The RRP-CCAM aims to enhance the resilience of disadvantaged families and communities to socio-economic risks, with a focus on food security and water sufficiency interventions starting from 2024. This shift aligns with DSWD’s mission to fight hunger and poverty. Additionally, during the meeting, DRMD introduced Project LAWA at BINHI or the Local Adaptation to Water Access and Breaking Insufficiency through Nutritious Harvest for the Impoverished, a new initiative that aims to combat hunger, poverty, and economic vulnerability by addressing food insecurity and water scarcity brought about by climate change and disasters. The consultation sought to foster collaboration among the involved programs to ensure food sustainability and expand the program’s concepts and activities. TINGNAN | 628 na pamilyang apektado ng armed conflict sa Palapag Northern, Samar nakatanggap ng tulong mula sa DSWD FO VIII. Anim na raan at dalawampu’t walong pamilyang apektado ng armed conflict sa Palapag Northern, Samar noong Marso 19 ang nakatanggap ng tulong mula sa DSWD Field Office VIII. Bawat pamilya ay nakatanggap ng dalawang family food packs (FFPs) na aabot sa kabuuang bilan na 1,256 FFPs na naipaabot ng ahensya. Matatandaang ang nasabing insidente ay nangyari sa boundary ng Brgy. Osmeña, Palapag at Brgy. Magsaysay, Mapanas kung saan aabot sa 1,007 na pamilya ang tinatayang apektado ang pamumuhay kasunod ng mandato ng peacekeeping authorities na pagsamantalang itigil ang pagsasaka at iba pang aktibidad para sa kanilang seguridad at kaligtasan. TINGNAN | DSWD FO8, agad namahagi ng 694 FFPs sa mga pamilyang apektado ng armed conflict sa Mapanas Northern, Samar Agad na namahagi ang DSWD Field Office 8 ng tig-dadalawang Family Food Packs (FFPs) sa bawat isa sa 347 na pamilyang apektado ng armed conflict sa Mapanas, Northern Samar, katuwang ang mga opisyal ng lokal na pamahalaan, Philippine National Police at Philippine Army. Ito ay kasunod ng nangyaring engkuwentro sa pagitan ng Philippine Army at ng Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) sa boundary ng Brgy. Osmeña, Palapag at Brgy. Magsaysay, Mapanas, Northern Samar noong Marso 19, 2024. Pansamantalang nawalan ng kabuhayan ang ilang residente sa nasabing lugar dahil sa pangyayari, kasunod na rin ng payo ng 74th Infantry Battalion na pansamantalang itigil ang pagsasaka at iba pang aktibidad malapit sa lugar ng engkuwentro, upang mapanatili ang kanilang kaligtasan. Bilang tugon, agad na nagbigay ng tulong ang DSWD sa pamamagitan ng pagpaabot ng 694 FFPs, partikular sa pangangailangan ng pagkain ng mga residente.
