DSWD Eastern Visayas gains recognition as one of Pag-IBIG Fund’s Top Employers in Visayas for 2024

DSWD Field Office 8, represented by Assistant Regional Director for Administration Clarito Logronio, received the award at the Pag-IBIG Fund Stakeholders’ Accomplishment Report (StAR), held last March 21, 2025 in Cebu City.

During the event, DSWD FO8 was presented with a plaque, recognizing the agency’s contribution and effort in providing workers with the benefits of Pag-IBIG’s saving programs and access to affordable home financing.

DSWD FO8 CECs Conduct Commodity Price Retrieval for Walang Gutom Program

The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 8 recently deployed Community Engagement Coordinators (CECs) from the Walang Gutom Program (WGP) to retrieve local market prices to help WGP Partner Merchants set fair and competitive prices.

Over 200 DSWD Registered Social Workers convened for the first-ever Social Workers’ Development Conference in the region at the Leyte Academic Center, Palo, Leyte.
