Fresh harvests from Samar through Project LAWA at BINHI

Through the Local Adaptation to Water Access and Breaking Insufficiency through Nutritious Harvest for the Impoverished (Project LAWA at BINHI) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VIII, communities in Samar are now enjoying fresh harvests of vegetables.

Youth Power in Action!

A total of 55 youth volunteers in Eastern Visayas are on the frontlines as part of DSWD’s Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program (TBTP) monitoring team this year.

39 of them are Sirak Kabataan members based in Samar province, 11 are members of the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines – Tacloban City and five youth volunteers in Ormoc City.
