TINGNAN: Katuwang ang lokal na pamahalaan, nagsagawa ang DSWD Field Office 8 ng Food Redemption sa Jaro, Leyte bilang bahagi ng Walang Gutom Program. Sa kabuaan, 294 na mga benepisaryo ang nakapag-redeem gamit ang kanilang mga Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) Cards.
Bahagi ang redemption na ito sa patuloy na implementasyon ng DSWD FO8 sa Walang Gutom Program. Ngayong Marso, layunin ng programa na makatulong sa 11,589 na mga benepisaryo.
Sinimulan na ng 40 benepisyaryo mula sa Capul, Northern Samar ang 15 na pagtatrabaho sa ilalim ng Stage 2 implementation ng Project LAWA (Local Adaptation to Water Access) at BINHI (Breaking Insufficiency through Nutritious Harvest for the Impoverished). Napili ng lokal na pamahalaan ang vermicomposting para sa phase 2 ng implementasyon, na naglalayong mabigyang tuon ang seguridad sa pagkain.
