Manila (February 7, 2014) – Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Corazon Juliano-Soliman received a donation of P500,000 for the victims of Typhoon Yolanda from TOENEC Corporation represented by Kenji Hirata,  General Manager of Overseas Division.

TOENEC Corporation is a Japanese company operating in the Philippines engaged in the construction of electrical, sanitary and   firefighting facilities; air-conditioning systems; and, information and communication systems.

“We really appreciate the gesture of TOENEC considering that they traveled all the way from Japan to personally hand over  their generous donation. Rest assured that this amount will be used to provide for the needs of the intended recipients,” Sec. Soliman enthused. ###
