Tanauan, Leyte –  Some 10,664 packs of 25-kilogram each from the rice donated by the Thailand Government through the ASEAN Plus Three Emergency Rice Reserve (APTERR) were distributed to Typhoon Yolanda survivors  from the 54 barangays of this town .

As shown in photo,  the rice packs were distributed by Thailand’s Deputy Secretary General  Khanit Likhitvidhayavuth (4th from left)  with APTERR Representative  Nongnooth Deethea (2nd from left), Department of Social Welfare and Development-Field Office VIII  Director Nestor B. Ramos (5th from left), Mayor Pelagio Tecson, Jr. (2nd from right, ) and other officials of the Thai Government witnessing the distribution.

During the recent ceremonial distribution , 50 households were chosen as recipients of  the 25 –kilogram rice packs.
