Ready for this Monday’s distribution of the DSWD’s Emergency Shelter Assistance (ESA) cash grants, Mayor Lesmes Lumen of La Paz, Leyte says he has prepared a video presentation made by himself to let his townsfolk know the preparations and procedure the local government has gone through to obtain this shelter benefit. In this Saturday’s guesting of the “Express-It-At-The-Park weekly media forum arranged by the DSWD Field Office Eight, the Municipal Mayor told that a wide screen will be set up at the municipal hall, also for people to be aware of the processes on the day of release itself. He has also organized a grievance committee who will position all throughout the seven-day period of distribution for more than four thousand would-be recipients from his town. No less than himself is chairperson of the committee, with members coming from the varied departments of the local government unit, including the local social welfare and development office. Added Mayor Lumen, ” I had extensive consultations with the Commission on Audit via our resident auditor, and I want to make it easy for our constituents to be able to avail of this most-awaited ESA.
