Tacloban City —  Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VIII Regional Director Resty Macuto accepts ten units of chainsaws donated by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) represented by IOM Director of the Manila (Global) Administrative Center and Chief of Missions, Marco Boasso, during the Monday flag ceremony at the DSWD grounds.

Santos, Philippines ‎Design & Project Management & OIC of Tacloban IOM Megan Genat came to deliver the tools.

According to Mr. De Los Santos, the chainsaws were bequeathed to the agency all in the name of emergency preparedness and faster response.

RD Macuto, meanwhile, in his acceptance talk thanked IOM and said that these power tools would be so useful even during disaster-free months.
