DSWD Field Office VIII Regional Director Restituto Macuto, with Director Wayne Bellizar of the Internal Audit Service of DSWD Central Office and other staff from Region Eight, pay a visit today to new Tacloban Mayor Cristina Romualdez at the City Hall. The former expresses his intention to forge closer partnership with the city government. Says the DSWD regional chief, it will extend more livelihood support to Yolanda survivors in the city. He also pushes for this year’s implementation of the Supplemental Feeding for Day Care Children. Mayor Romualdez enthusiastically accepts the offer and invites the Regional Director to be part of her team in the city government’s program for the rehabilitation/recovery of those who used to be in the drug use/business. Mayor Romualdez bared that some 280 of them have now surrendered themselves before the law.
