DSWD Field Office VIII Regional Director Restituto Macuto emphasized the importance of intensified convergence and partnership in working on our shared social responsibility, during yesterday’s signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) through the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) with Personal Collection held at Ocho Grill Tacloban City.
Personal Collection Managing Director Vanessa Nuesca expressed their company’s utmost interest in becoming a blessing to others especially those who significantly need help and source of income such as the 4Ps household beneficiaries.
DSWD’s mission is to provide social protection and promote the rights and welfare of the poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged individual, family and community to contribute to poverty alleviation and empowerment through Local Government Units, Non-Government Organizations, People’s Organizations, National Government Agencies and other members of civil society.
While Personal Collection is a direct selling company which will now complement the efforts of the department in facilitating the 4Ps Family Development Sessions (FDS) with topics on how to run a business, proper hygiene, personality development, and trainings on leadership and livelihood.
Furthermore, the said MOA was signed in the presence of 4Ps Regional Program Coordinator Paula Unay, Personal Collection Field Associate Manager Krystianne Potolin, and other support staff from both parties.
Director Macuto shared that DSWD is not alone and the department apparently recognizes participation of volunteers in providing livelihood, education, social support, and other interventions appropriate to the needs of 4Ps household beneficiaries as they transition to a self-sufficient status of well-being. #DSWDMayMalasakit
