LOOK – Dir. Gemma Gabuya, 4Ps National Program Manager served as the resource speaker during the 4Ps on Air: Usapang Pugay Tagumpay – a radio program intended to provide relevant updates and information on 4Ps implementation in the region in the midst of the pandemic.

Dir. Gabuya talked about the Kilos Unlad Social Case Management Strategy of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program wherein she shared the importance of intensive case management, convergence efforts and partnerships, and the role of household beneficiaries in achieving self-sufficiency leading to their eventual graduation from the program.

Division Chief Paula Unay shared that 5,087 beneficiaries graduated from the program from June to August 2021 due to a sustained sufficient level of well-being and improved quality of life after being exposed to 7-10 years of program intervention.

The two officials responded to the issues and concerns of the listeners and addressed their questions regarding the topic. The 4Ps radio program runs from June to December 2021.

Led by DSWD, the 4Ps is a poverty reduction strategy of the national government with DSWD as the lead agency. Household beneficiaries are entitled to receive cash subsidies provided that the conditions on health, nutrition, and education are followed. This will foster necessary behavior for parents to adequately perform the duties and responsibilities, particularly in investing in their children’s future. #
