A total of Php 1.2-M was provided to 126 qualified Livelihood Assistance Grant (LAG) beneficiaries in Silvino Lubos, Northern Samar, on August 26,2021.
These beneficiaries, who are members of respective associations representing the sectors of women, youth, farmers, and transportation, are all determined to help each other bounce back better through the cash grant.
Present in the payout were Natividad Sequito, DSWD’s Promotive Services Division Chief, and Leo Jarito, Local Chief Executive of Silvino Lubos.
Natividad Sequito, in her message during the activity, highlighted how the COVID-19 pandemic caused displacement, economic loss and hunger to the society. She conveyed that DSWD is always ready to assist the people for a sustainable recovery from the pandemic.
She assured that “DSWD, through its Sustainable Livelihood Program, continues to work closely with the LGUs and partner agencies to aid individuals, small entrepreneurs and associations get back stronger.”
