LOOK: DSWD Eastern Visayas has distributed Family Food Packs (FFPs) and cash assistance to the 19 families affected by the fire incident in Catbalogan City, Samar.
Each family has received FFP and 10K cash assistance for those who have totally damaged house and 5K for partially damaged house through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS).
According to the report of the Bureau of Fire Protection, the fire incident occurred in P-2 Barangay 11 at 08:18 AM on July 12, 2022 and was declared fire out at 09:35 AM on the same day. There was no reported casualty on civilians and responding firefighters. The investigation on the reason of the fire incident are still in progress.
