The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Central Office recently provided technical assistance to DSWD Field Office 8 on the effective use of the Mobile Command Center (MCC).

Described as “timely and important” by Assistant Regional Director for Operations (ARDO) Antonio R. Dolaota, due to the prevailing typhoon season, the learning session addressed MCC operations, including equipment installation, ICT tools, troubleshooting, and vehicle maintenance.

Meanwhile, Regional Director Grace Q. Subong stressed the significance of understanding the MCC’s functionality and addressing related concerns.

Representatives from the Regional Information and Communications Technology Management Unit (RICTMU), Legal Unit/Social Marketing Unit, Policy and Plans Division (PPD), General Administration and Support Services (GASS), Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD), and Sub-field Offices (SFOs) actively participated, enhancing their knowledge on how to manage disaster situations and provide critical support more efficiently with the use of MCC.
