The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VIII rolled out the Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita Program on August 2–3, 2024, during the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair, simultaneously conducted in six (6) provinces of the Eastern Visayas region.
A total of 22,617 beneficiaries received financial assistance with a consolidated total amount of P113,856,000.00 fund disbursement.
Meanwhile, 8,479 food assistance, amounting to P6,782,816.79 were distributed to families with low income.
As part of the government’s effort to address inflation and assist the vulnerable sectors in the community, the Department of Social Welfare and Development provides the Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP) to ensure that near-poor families will be given the proper assistance they need.
