The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Can-Avid, Eastern Samar, took a proactive step by organizing a courtesy visit and benchmarking session at the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 8 Regional Resource Operations Center (RROC). The delegation, comprising around 60 barangay officials, including Barangay Chairpersons and the Local Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer was warmly welcomed by the Division Chief of the Disaster Response Management Division, Lucia G. Balantad.
The visit aimed to enhance the barangay officials’ understanding of Relief Operation Protocols, reporting procedures, and other key programs that could be implemented at the barangay and municipal level.
