Through the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Project LAWA, partner-beneficiaries in the Local Government Unit of Dolores, Eastern Samar have rehabilitated eight small farm reservoirs to improve crop irrigation in the area.

Since the start of its implementation in May, the project has helped 488 beneficiaries restore various rainwater harvesting systems, which, when combined, can hold up to 9,710 cubic meters of water. These reservoirs are capable of irrigating 24,275 square meters of land, providing a reliable water source even during dry seasons.

With Project LAWA, beneficiaries in Dolores can look forward to more consistent and productive crop yields, positively impacting their livelihoods and supporting the community’s growth.
