Look | DSWD Field Office VIII holds Program Implementation Review for Project LAWA, BINHI in Eastern Visayas
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VIII held a Program Implementation Review (PIR) for Project LAWA (Local Adaptation to Water Access) and BINHI (Breaking Insufficiency through Nutritious Harvest for the Impoverished) on November 12 and 14, 2024, in Eastern Visayas.
The event, spearheaded by the Risk Resilience Program for Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (RRP-CCAM) staff, gathered LGU representatives from Eastern Samar, Northern Samar, and Southern Leyte.
Despite challenges in its implementation this year, the projects received positive feedback for their contributions to the community.
Designed to address water and food security, Project LAWA at BINHI enhances agricultural productivity. These initiatives are part of DSWD’s efforts to mitigate the effects of El Niño and La Niña while building resilience against climate-related impacts.
