Look: The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office-8, represented by the Assistant Regional Director for Operations Antonio Dolaota, led a consultation meeting together with the Disaster Response Management Division staff, which focused on the monitoring and assessment of the areas in Southern Leyte affected by the magnitude 5.8 earthquake.
As part of the agency’s prompt delivery of services, family food packs and non-food items are prepositioned in the Regional Resource Operations Center if the need for augmentation arises.
Until now, staff of the department are continuously monitoring the situation on the ground to provide immediate response to the affected Local Government Units.
