The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) conducted a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to enhance the manual for implementing early recovery programs and services in disaster-affected areas.
DSWD-DRMB technical staff engaged with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Inopacan, Leyte, a former beneficiary of the Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) program and other early recovery services of DSWD, to assess the effectiveness of interventions and explore ways to improve assistance for disaster-stricken families.
Before meeting with beneficiaries in Barangay Poblacion, initial discussions were done with Hon. Rogelio Pua Jr., Inopacan’s Local Chief Executive, LGU staff, and the Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD) of DSWD Field Office VIII to gather insights on program implementation and service delivery.
