The second batch of 5-day Capability Building for tutors under the Tara, Basa Tutoring Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) started on Monday in Ormoc City.
A total of 252 qualified student-beneficiaries from Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) – Ormoc Campus will attend the activity until April 11, 2025.
Meanwhile, the same activity for Youth Development Workers from City College of Ormoc will commence on April 9, 2025.
This year, the field office has a total target of 1,512 college students, 5,040 learners, and 5,040 parents covering Samar province and the cities of Tacloban and Ormoc.
Dr. Jeffrey V. Ocay and other key officials of EVSU Ormoc were present during the kick off day at the city’s SK Youth Development Center.###
