A total of 438 partner-beneficiaries from Barangay Bayho, Lope De Vega, Northern Samar participated in a two-day Food-for-Work (FFW) program organized by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 8.

The FFW was conducted to support the maintenance of small farm reservoirs and communal gardens established through the implementation of Project LAWA at BINHI last year. This initiative is part of the Risk Resiliency Program – Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (RRP-CCAM), which aims to strengthen climate-adaptive solutions and ensure sustainable food production in vulnerable communities. It also promotes water conservation and environmental preservation.

By involving local beneficiaries in the upkeep of these projects, the program fosters a sense of community ownership and supports long-term resilience against climate-related challenges
