The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VIII, together with other member agencies of the Eastern Visayas Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC VIII), is currently conducting a training on the Harmonized Disaster Response Reporting.
Around 40 Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) personnel from Biliran province are participating in the training aimed at promoting standardized disaster response reporting. The initiative is led by key agencies, including the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and the Department of Health (DOH).
The activity follows the RDRRMC’s adoption of the Harmonized Disaster Response Reporting Template through Resolution No. 12-006, Series of 2023. The template seeks to streamline disaster situation reporting across provincial, city, and municipal DRRM offices, enhancing coordination for a more effective emergency response.
