DSWD Eastern Visayas successfully conducted a Strategic Planning activity for the 2025 implementation of the Walang Gutom Program on April 10, 2025, in Maasin City.
Regional Program Management Office (RPMO) staff and Team Leaders (TLs) of Community Engagement Coordinators (CECs) representing all six provinces in the region attended the activity.
During the session, TLs presented updates from their respective Cluster LGUs, including the status of their Nutrition Education Sessions, redemption activities, and other key program components. They also shared strategies and initiatives that contributed to the successful implementation of their tasks and responsibilities.
In an honest and open exchange, CECs reflected on their gains and challenges, highlighted good practices worth continuing, and identified practices that may no longer be effective moving forward.
The RPMO staff acknowledged the efforts and dedication of the CECs and assured the team of continued support and technical assistance.
To cap off the session, the group participated in collaborative planning activities designed to strengthen strategies and ensure smooth operations for 2025. The meeting also served as a venue to raise pressing concerns and agree on resolutions for more effective program implementation.
