The Walang Gutom Program (WGP) of DSWD Eastern Visayas successfully held its Inter-Agency Coordination Meeting on April 16, 2025, at the Regional Operations Center, DSWD Field Office VIII.
Representatives from various national government agencies—including TESDA, DOH, DTI, PSA, NNC, DOLE, and DA—attended the meeting to align their support and services for the upcoming Innovations’ Caravan, tentatively scheduled on June 5, 2025, in Ormoc City.
The meeting highlighted the key services these agencies will provide during the Caravan, which aims to bring government interventions closer to the community. One of the main features of the event is the WGP Productivity Fair, where participating agencies will offer their programs and services.
Another exciting highlight is the WG Kusinero: Cook-off Challenge, featuring the culinary talents of WGP beneficiaries. This friendly competition will showcase the skills and creativity of local cooks, all of whom are part of the Walang Gutom Program.
All services and activities during the Caravan will specifically benefit WGP beneficiaries, as identified through the assessment conducted by the WGP team.
Stay tuned for more updates as we bring together government support and community empowerment through the Innovations’ Caravan in Ormoc City!
