DSWD Eastern Visayas HFG Residents, Nakapagtapos sa TESDA Skills Training!

Matagumpay na nakapagtapos ng Skills Training ang ilang mga residents at staff ng Home For Girls (HFG) ng Department of Social Welfare and Development Eastern Visayas. Sa tulong ng Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Regional Office VIII, Leyte Provincial Office, nagsagawa ang TESDA Calubian National Vocational School (TESDA CNVS) ng training para sa Basic Table Skirting, Manicure and Pedicure, at Housekeeping with focus on Cleaning Public Areas, Facilities and Equipment. Sa mga training na ito, 44 na mga residents at 15 na mga staff ang nakapagtapos ng Housekeeping, 44 na residents ang nakapagtapos ng Basic Table Skirting, at 32 na residents naman ang nakapagtapos ng Manicure and Pedicure. Kinilala ang mga nagtapos ng training sa isang graduation ceremony na ginanap sa HFG. Dumalo sa nasabing pagdiriwang ang ilang mga kinatawan mula sa TESDA, kasama sina Supervising TESDA Specialist Mark Paul Butad, VIS III TESDA CNVS Gerardo Pag-ong, at ang mga trainer mula sa TESDA CNVS na sina Myrnalyn Montecalbo, Julita Matol, at Florence Noriga. Bahagi ang mga training na ito sa layunin ng DSWD na magkaroon ng holistic development at mabigyan ng mga praktikal na mga kasanayan ang mga residents ng HFG na maaari nilang magamit sa paghahanap-buhay. DSWD Eastern Visayas releases FFPs and bottled water to earthquake-affected LGUs

JUST IN: DSWD Eastern Visayas released 163 Family Food Packs (FFPs) and 120 bottles of water today during its initial response operations for Local Government Units affected by the recent 5.8 magnitude earthquake. As of 5PM today, DSWD has released 43 FFPs to the municipality of Liloan, and 120 FFPs and 120 bottles of water to San Francisco, both in the province of Southern Leyte. Overall, the agency released P165,139.92 worth of assistance. Meanwhile, the agency continues its assessment and coordination with affected LGUs and is prepared to respond to requests for augmentation. #BawatBuhayMahalagaSaDSWD

In response to the effects brought by the 5.8 magnitude earthquake, DSWD’s Disaster Response Management Division conducted a meeting today together with the Local Government Unit of Liloan, Southern Leyte. The primary agenda is to ensure the delivery of DSWD’s commitment to provide family food packs and assorted non-food items to families affected by the earthquake in the municipality. 4Ps household-beneficiaries, patuloy sa pag-update sa i-Registro web portal

TIGNAN: Sa Eastern Visayas Region, patuloy ang pag-update ng profile o impormasyon ng mga 4Ps household-beneficiaries sa i-Registro web portal kaugnay sa implementasyon ng First 1,000 Days (F1KD) o Expanded Health at Nutrition Grants. Ang mga active 4Ps households-beneficiaries na buntis at/o may batang 0-2 taong gulang ay kinakailangang mag-update ng kanilang impormasyon sa i-Registro web portal gamit ang mobile devices. Kinakailangan na sila ay makapag-rehistro upang sila ay makasama sa isasagawang balidasyon para makatanggap ng additional cash grants sa ilalaim ng F1KD. Ang i-Registro ay isang “self-service” at digital platform. Ito ay isa lamang sa alternatibong paraan para mabilis ang pag-update ng impormasyon ng mga benepisyaryo. Para sa mga hindi makapasok sa i-Registro web portal, maaaring makipag-ugnayan sa City/Municipal Links para makapag-update ng kanilang impormasyon gamit ang Beneficiary Updating System (BUS) Form 5. DSWD Field Office 8 leads consultation meeting for LGUs affected by earthquake

Look: The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office-8, represented by the Assistant Regional Director for Operations Antonio Dolaota, led a consultation meeting together with the Disaster Response Management Division staff, which focused on the monitoring and assessment of the areas in Southern Leyte affected by the magnitude 5.8 earthquake. As part of the agency’s prompt delivery of services, family food packs and non-food items are prepositioned in the Regional Resource Operations Center if the need for augmentation arises. DSWD Field Office 8 Eastern Visayas kasalukuyang nakikipag-ugnayan sa mga munisipyong naapektuhan ng lindol

TINGNAN: Kasalukuyang nakikipag-ugnayan ang DSWD Field Office 8 Eastern Visayas sa mga munisipyong naapektuhan ng magnitude 5.9 na lindol kaninang umaga. Inaabot ng Disaster Response Management Division ng DSWD ang mga munisipyo upang makakuha ng kritikal na impormasyon, tulad ng bilang ng mga pamilya na possibleng naapektuhan, at bilang ng mga bahay na nasira. Samantala, may nakahandang 118,576 na Family Food Packs at 34,502 na Non-Food Relief Items sa iba’t-ibang strategic na lokasyon ang DSWD. Nakahanda itong ipamahagi ayon sa pangangailangan ng mga munisipyo na magrerequest ng augmentation. May standby fund din ang ahensya na P2,014,160.00 na maaaring gamitin para sa disaster response. LOOK: The DSWD Field Office-8 Risk Resiliency Program Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (RRP-CCAM staff) successfully conducted cash-for-work projects and site visits for Project Bamboo Plantation in different areas in Samar Province. The primary objective of the said activity is to address the climate change impacts by providing sustainable livelihood activities through the establishment of bamboo plantations in the province.
