Tutoring Program (TBTP) in Eastern Visayas. This year, the DSWD will expand the program covering Samar province and the cities of Tacloban and Ormoc in Leyte with a total target of 1,508 college students, 5,040 learners, and 5,040 parents. The program is a reformatted educational assistance for college students from low-income families who will be deployed as tutors and YDWs to conduct reading tutorials to struggling or non-reader pupils and carry out the Nanay-Tatay sessions to the parents of the learners. In return, the student-beneficiaries will receive a daily pay equivalent to the Regional Daily Minimum Wage for the 20-days learning sessions set between May 19 to June 13, 2025. Meanwhile, parents who attended the sessions with topics including effective parenting, dynamics of Filipino families, challenges in parenting, and children’s rights, among others, will receive a daily allowance of PHP235. Over the past weeks, the Regional Program Management Office (RPMO) here has been conducting a series of coordination meetings with the Department of Education and partner state universities and colleges to ensure that all social preparation activities will be done according to agreed timelines. These include the selection and crossmatching of beneficiaries, orientation to would-be tutors and YDWs, capability building activities, community assemblies, among others. In 2024, the DSWD deployed 375 tutors and YDWs from Samar State University and Northwest Samar State University serving a total of 1,981 learners and 1,977 across two cities and 19 municipalities for its pilot implementation in Samar. ### #BawatBuhayMahalagaSaDSWD#tarabasatutoringprogram#TaraBasaPH

This is how we would like to sustain. Our office is now drafting the CDD Ordinance. Leonardo Madeja, Jr., Municipal Planning and Development Officer ng Naval Biliran, sa iginanap na DSWD KALAHI-CIDSS KKB-CDD Turn-over and Acceptance Ceremony for the Newly Constructed Multi-Purpose Building sa Barangay Libertad, Naval, Biliran noong ika-14 ng Enero, 2025. #MagKalahiTayoPilipinas#BawatBuhayMahalagaSaDSWD
