The Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (Pantawid Pamilya) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development is now all set this July and August 2011 for the simultaneous Roll-out Trainings on Capability Building for six batches of the Parent- Leaders fromSets 3A and 3B, now going on at the La Rica Hotel and Asia Stars Hotel in Tacloban City.

Each batch has threeclasses, composed of 48 parent-leaders from different municipalities of various provinces. The first batch took off today July 4, 2011, comprising eight municipalities from the province of Leyte, namely: Matalom, Mayorga, La Paz, Burauen, Bato, Leyte-Leyte, Albuera, and Javier.

With the ultimate goal of the program, of developing human capital, the three-day training intends to recognize and enhance the crucial roles and functions of the parent-leaders.The training aims to equip participants with knowledge, skills and attitude as partners towards the effective and efficient implementation of the PantawidPamilya at the community level.

Sets 3A and 3B cover the provinces of Leyte, Biliran, Eastern Samar, Southern Leyte and the City of Catbalogan. Every week three classes are scheduled consecutively until the second week of August 2011.
